From an early age, I was inspired by my mother's unwavering dedication to helping others. She taught me that giving to those in need is among the most important actions one can take in life. Her selfless generosity, always offered without seeking acknowledgment, instilled in me the profound value of asking, “What can I do to help?”
This foundational lesson has guided my lifelong commitment to philanthropy and the Jewish principle of Tikkun Olam — “repairing the world.” Throughout my journey, I've initiated, led, and supported various not-for-profit endeavors aimed at bringing people together and enhancing their health and happiness. These initiatives are, and will always remain, free and accessible to all.

Giving hope in the wake of tragedyIn October 2023, just one day after the horrific Hamas attack on innocent civilians in Israel, I traveled to the region to listen directly to survivors, understand their urgent needs, and offer support on the ground. What followed was the launch of a meaningful initiative through On/Go for Good — partnering with local philanthropic organizations, adopting one of the devastated kibbutzim, and creating Giving Hope: preloaded debit cards that were distributed to survivors and families of hostages, offering them immediate financial relief and a message of solidarity. It was a mission rooted in compassion, dignity, and the belief that even in the darkest moments, we can bring light by showing up and helping each other heal.

Helping the helpersWhile in Israel, one question kept echoing in my mind: What can we do to create lasting, sustainable impact? The answer, for me, was clear — we help the people who help others. This mission became about strengthening the givers. The everyday heroes who, even in the face of unimaginable loss, continue to show up with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to do good. By supporting them, we multiply impact — and help entire communities begin to heal, rebuild, and thrive again.

Healing hearts in a war-battered countryIn December 2023, through On/Go for Good, the charitable foundation I lead, we proudly funded the creation of a new Children's Mental Health Center in Lviv, Ukraine. It was a deeply meaningful milestone — for our team, for the local community, and most of all, for the children. In a country still reeling from the trauma of war, this center offers a safe space for healing, resilience, and hope. It's designed to help young people navigate the emotional toll of conflict and grow into healthy, confident, and empowered adults. Being part of this effort — and seeing the smiles, strength, and spirit of the children — was one of the most heartwarming experiences of my life.“For Ron Gutman, a healthcare entrepreneur and co-founder of Intrivo Diagnostics, it's clear that providing aid to support Ukraine's healthcare infrastructure is essential as the country continues to resist Russia's invasion.” Longevity report

Among the first to helpIn May 2022, just weeks after the invasion began, I crossed the border from Poland into Ukraine on foot — determined to deliver critical support where it was needed most. With over $1 million in medical supplies and digital infrastructure, we equipped hospitals in the besieged city of Lviv to care for their communities under extraordinary pressure.I spent a week on the ground — not just delivering tools, but training medical teams, listening closely, and learning firsthand what long-term support would mean for them. It was a humbling experience that deepened our commitment to standing with the Ukrainian people — not just in moments of crisis, but for the long road to recovery and resilience ahead.

From fear to hope: a journey through two war zonesStanding in two war-torn places — one in today's Ukraine, and the other at Treblinka, a site of unfathomable tragedy from decades past — I was struck by how quickly the pendulum can swing between fear and hope. The parallels were haunting. In both, I saw how violence is often used to sow chaos, division, and hate — how fear is weaponized to unravel humanity. But I also saw something else: hope — in the faces of those who refuse to be broken, who rise each day choosing compassion over vengeance, service over silence. Their weapon is selfless giving. And through that, they spark a virtuous cycle of hope — one act of kindness at a time, even in the darkest places. This journey reminded me that no matter the era or the enemy, the antidote to fear is always human goodness — and the courage to keep giving.

Compassion has no bordersYou don't always need to cross oceans to find people in need — sometimes, the call for help is right at your doorstep. In September 2023, through On/Go for Good, we donated critical COVID-19 test kits and Test-to-Treat solutions to the U.S.-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership. These resources were distributed through the Ventanilla de Salud program at Mexican Consulates across the U.S., bringing trusted health support to vulnerable communities often underserved by the system. It was a reminder that meaningful impact can begin right at the border — with empathy, partnership, and action.

Creating a healthier, happier world - together, one program at a timeGiving back has always been at the heart of everything I do. From building platforms that expand access to care, to curating conversations that spark global change, to empowering communities with tools for wellness and resilience — my mission has remained constant: to help people live healthier, happier lives.Whether through technology, storytelling, community, or philanthropy, these initiatives are all rooted in my core belief that health is a fundamental human right, and that innovation should serve everyone, and doing good is not just a choice for me — it's a responsibility and a calling. Here are just a few of the ways I've worked to turn that belief into action:
Exploring Happiness in Bhutan: My journey to Bhutan, as chronicled by CNBC, offered profound insights into the nature of happiness and well-being, reinforcing my commitment to integrating these principles into both personal and professional endeavors.
Advocating for Tikkun Olam: In my writings for Fast Company, I delve into the significance of Tikkun Olam and the transformative power of altruism in countering stress and fostering a sense of purpose.
HealthTap for Good: Recognizing the importance of accessible healthcare, we launched HealthTap for Good, offering free online doctor consultations to individuals in need, ensuring that quality medical advice is just a click away for everyone.
